darwin Cloud Context Sensitive Help
Now, from every screen in darwin Cloud, user can access relevant articles and videos related to the screen user is on at the time. As user move between screens, the available articles move as well. This means user can stay in darwin Cloud and have the help needed - right where users are.
darwin Cloud now has Context Sensitive Help built right into the app. So, instead of going to a website and having to search the darwin knowledge base or search through the table of contents in the darwin Manual. User can find relevant help right in darwin Cloud and get the help articles right from the page user is working with.
Once user logged in to darwin Cloud, the first screen will be the Dashboard, user may be familiar in Dashboard but wants to ensure that the process is right. Here's what to do, (1) click on the question mark (?) button or Context Sensitive Help at the lower right part of the screen. A help menu will come up, it has (2) various articles listed. These articles are pre-selected relevant to the Dashboard screen.
When user click any of the articles, it will open a new tab in the browser. User can (3) click any of the hyperlinks on article to navigate. Or, at the upper right side of the screen, (4) user can search on the darwin Cloud manual.
When user go back to darwin Cloud, the list of articles is still open. It will let the user open another related article in case the first article was not exactly the user is looking for.
Clicking the new article, will again open a new tab, with this, user can keep multiple articles open at the same time.
Next, (1) click the People menu, (2) click Context Sensitive Help icon (?), user will see that there are many help articles and they are all related to People screen. (3) Some have videos embedded into the articles. These videos can be played inside the articles, or (4) expand to full screen and make it easier to watch.
This Context Sensitive Help works on all the screens in darwin Cloud.
When entering bills, the help articles are all about accounts payable.
When working with journal entries, then articles are all about journal entries, accounting periods, or chart of accounts.
This new approach will help the users to learn and use darwin Cloud easier.
