Property Description is Required for Listings

Cause:

The error "Property description is required for listings" occurs when a list-side transaction is submitted to dash without the Property Description filled in on the Features tab of the property record

Fix:

To resolve the error, the transaction needs to be resubmitted with the Property Description field added:

  1. Navigate to the property record under Properties menu
    • use the search button to locate the property
  2. Click Features submenu
  3. Click the "+" button next to remark
  4. Select Property Description from the remark type dropdown
  5. Enter text in the remark text field
  6. Click add
  7. Click submit

If the property description for the listing is not known, or not yet available, users may enter the words "Coming Soon!" or simply enter a space in the remark text field to pass the validation check for submission.

Prevention:

  • If this error is occurring for manually entered listings, make sure the team responsible for entering listings is aware that the Property Description field is required by Anywhere (Realogy) to ensure successful submissions.
  • For transactions imported from MLS, if the field Property Description is missing from darwin Cloud but contains text in MLS, please email support@accounttech.com with the MLS# of the transaction so we can review the MLS import settings.
