How to Modify an Escrow Deposit

Cause:
When a user wants to modify an escrow money that has been deposited, a warning message will pop up saying that 'This payment cannot be modified because it is part of a deposit'.

Modifying escrow money deposits

Unpost the Property escrow deposit

1. Go to the Properties menu
2. On the Basics screen, search for the property
3. Select the property

4. Go to the Escrow submenu
5. Click the escrow deposit id

After clicking the escrow deposit id from the escrow submenu, it will automatically redirect the user to the Deposit submenu under the Banking menu

6. On the Deposit screen, click unpost
7. Click delete

Modify the Property escrow deposit

8. Click Properties menu
9. Click Escrow submenu
10. Click the escrow deposit to edit
11. Modify the deposit information (bank account, check number, escrow payee or amount)
12. Click save

Once the escrow deposit has been unposted and deleted, the deposit id on the Property escrow check will be removed

Posting the modified Escrow Money deposit

1. Click Banking menu
2. Click Deposit submenu
3. Click new
4. Select the company
5. Select the escrow account
6. Enter deposit date
7. Click start

8. Click add undeposited

9. Enter a portion of the property address to filter the list
10. Check the box under select column
11. Click add to deposit

12. Click post
