How to download the export summary report from patriot payroll

To download the export summary report from Patriot payroll, go to the Patriot website and follow the steps below.

  1. Go directly to Settings
  2. Click Payroll Integrations Options

NOTE: Before the user can download the file, the accounts must be properly set up in the Payroll integration option screen.

  1. Choose Quickbooks Desktop
  2. Click Save
  1. Choose Separate check detail for each employee
  2. Enter the Gross Pay account
  3. Enter the Net Pay account
  4. Enter the Employee Tax account
  5. Enter the Employer Tax account
  6. Enter the Employer Tax (Remittance) account
  7. Enter the American Funds-401k account (if applicable)
  8. Enter the 401k Employer Match account (Charged)
  9. Enter the 401k Employer Match account (Applied)
  10. Click Save
  1. Go to Payroll
  2. Click Export Payroll
  3. Enter the Start Date and End Date for your payroll
  4. Enter the Starting number
  5. Click Run Export

Open the downloaded file on a excel spreadsheet

  1. Click All files from the dropdown
  2. Choose your downloaded file
  3. Click Open

This will take the user to the Text Import Wizard screen

  1. Check My data has headers
  2. Click next
  3. Click next on the step 2 of 3
  4. Click on the header of the column and click Text as a column data format
  5. Do the same procedure with the date, click the header of the column for the date and click Date as column data format
  6. Click Finish
