How do I Record Commission Paid in Advance - Add Payment
A property that has a status pending means that the buyer is going to buy the house but the buyer haven't paid yet. That is why there is no commission yet due from the Seller.
However, if we receive the commission in advance, there is a need to record that the commission was received in advance and deposit the money then keep it as a credit.
To add the commission paid in advance, please follow the steps below:
- Click Properties
- Click Basics submenu
- Search for the property using the search button
- Click add payment
- Enter the check number
- Select the date
- Enter the amount
- Enter the payor
- Click Save
A new screen will appear informing the user of the payment number created for this credit.
- Click OK
The next step is to deposit the commission paid in advance in darwin Cloud's Banking menu.
- Click Banking menu
- Choose Deposit submenu
- Click new
- Select the company
- Select the bank account
- Enter the deposit date
- Click start
- Click add undeposited
- Select the transaction you want to deposit by clicking the checkbox
- Click add to deposit
- Click post
